Awards

Congratulations to Dr Madeline G. Reinecke!

We’re delighted to share that Dr Madeline G. Reinecke, who leads the SHIFT-AI project, was awarded the Methodology Award at the EASP (European Association of Social Psychology) pre-conference on the 29th of June! 🎉

The award recognised her research on co-producing AI safety with young people, work developed in close collaboration with our very own YPAG! It’s a wonderful recognition of what genuine co-production can achieve, and a reflection of just how valuable young people’s expertise and perspectives are in shaping research on AI safety.

This is a fantastic achievement for Dr Reinecke and for all the YPAG members who contributed to this work.

Congratulations to Lucienne Spencer and Katrin Wilhelm!

We’re delighted to share that Dr Lucienne Spencer and Dr Katrin Wilhelm, part of the Neuroscience, Ethics and Society (NEUROSEC) team, received a certificate on the 23rd of April for their presentation on the NeurOx Young Person’s Advisory Group at the Psychiatry Half Away Day!

Their presentation helped showcase the fantastic work of the NeurOx YPAG to a wider audience, highlighting the importance of involving young people in shaping neuroscience research and ethics.

Huge congratulations to Dr Lucienne Spencer and Dr Katrin Wilhelm for this recognition, and thank you for continuing to champion the voice of young people in research!
